A dear friend of mine and I have been sorting through various wedding symbols these days. The reason is that I am the Matron Of Honor in an upcoming wedding and we were trying to find the right details for the bride’s bridal shower. Because the theme of the shower is NASCAR racing, is not such an easy task. When planning a bridal shower is difficult enough to consider the wedding symbols, but to add racing into the mix is mind boggling. But still, I came up with some interesting ideas. I think that I am on my way to merging fast cars with wedding symbols, eve if there are a lot of things to consider. The wedding bells are one of the classic wedding symbols. We can’t help that when we think of bells, we immediately picture a little white church and a long white gown. But I’m not sure how the concept of bells will fit into NASCAR racing. Incorporating the bells into a game could be an idea. As bridal shower favors I thought of using die-cast cars. Using the bells to signal the start in a race is a good fit. This way, the wedding symbols would relate to the little races. A little prize is won by the fastest car. The idea might just work, even if it’s a little overboard. I hope that my using the classic wedding symbols for a race will not offend anyone. Using tea cups as party favors was my other NASCAR bridal shower idea. Putting a die-cast car into each little was exactly what I was thinking. Five Jordan almonds would have surrounded the cars. The almonds represent five wishes for the bride and groom, and it is another wedding symbol. This may work, even if may be a bit of a push. Having the guest race their little care is an idea I have to reconsider though Even if it poses a dilemma for the Matron Of Honor trying to decide which wedding symbols will work for a NASCAR-themed bridal shower I am up to the challenge. The ultimate wedding symbols are rings. Rings resemble a racetrack. |
